GET TO KNOW DR. RASHID
Dr. Rashid comes to Mendelson Kornblum after completing a highly-competitive fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery: Sports Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center. Prior to this fellowship Dr. Rashid amassed a series of impressive academic credentials – these include her Doctorate of Osteopathy from Kansas City University, and Masters of Science from both Wayne State University and the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Rashid’s undergraduate degree comes from St. Mary’s College where she was a four-year two-letter varsity athlete in Softball and Basketball.
Dr. Rashid’s recent sports medicine experience includes on-site work with the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit City Football Club.

MEET DR. KATIE RASHID
Dr. Rashid boasts strong local connections, having grown up in the metropolitan area and being a former recipient of the Detroit Catholic League’s “Athlete of the Year” award in 2009 during her time at Marian High School in Bloomfield Township.
