Our team works in collaboration with the orthopedic, spine, and pain management physicians of Mendelson Kornblum Orthopedic & Spine Specialists. Our continuous, direct communication enables therapists and physicians to quickly assess and adjust patient treatment plans as needed.

JB Jansen, Director of Rehabilitation

JB Jansen, has been a licensed physical therapist for more than 20 years, and also has his CLT and MDT certifications. He has extensive experience in outpatient rehabilitation with specialization in comprehensive lymph edema management, postoperative rehabilitation for orthopedics patients, and mechanical diagnosis and treatment of low back and cervical pain. JB has been the director of physical therapy for Mendelson Kornblum Orthopedics since 1995.

Kathryn Pring, Assistant Director of Rehabilitation

Katie received a master’s degree in physical therapy from Oakland University in 2000. During her years as a therapist Katie has worked in a wide variety of PT settings, including acute, sub acute, inpatient and orthopedic outpatient. Katie’s large spectrum of PT has provided her with a good understanding of the  continuum of care for her patients.

Katie is certified in NDT and Lymphedema Decongestive Therapy, and has taken several courses related to myofascial release, lumbar stabilization, extremity mobilization, balance and coordination, and the foot and ankle complex. Other field work includes working as clinical coordinator with local PT and PTA programs where Katie mentored many students into the PT profession; being a guest lecturer at local PT and PTA schools; and accepting the Service Excellence Award in 2006 for great clinical care.

Katie enjoys running and has completed several marathons, including the Boston Marathon. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
