Amy Hauxwell, OTR

Amy is a staff occupational therapist at Mendelson Kornblum Physical Therapy in Warren. Amy focuses on post-operative orthopedic care, hand rehabilitation, splinting, neuro-rehabilitation, geriatric care, and functional capacity assessments.

Amy attended Western Michigan University where she graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 2002.  Amy has taken specialized courses on post-surgical orthopedic care, neuro-rehabilitation, hand rehabilitation and splinting. In addition, Amy is trained and certified to administer Functional Capacity Evaluations. Outside the clinic, Amy has been an instructor for Macomb Community College teaching in the COTA program.

Amy has a passion for treating hand-involved injuries where she applies her splinting and specialized training to treat patients. She has a passion for learning new information and being on the cutting edge of intervention for the hand, wrist and elbow.
