What should I wear to my appointment?
Loose, comfortable clothes. If we are working on a specific body part please wear clothes that give us
access to that body part (ie wear shorts if we are working on your knee or tank tops if we are working on your shoulder).
What should I bring with me to my first appointment?
Please arrive 20-25 minutes early for your first appointment to fill out paperwork.
- The most important thing your prescription
- Diagnostic material relating to your injury (MRI/ X-rays/ CatScan/ Films etc..)
- Photo ID (ex Drivers License)
- Insurance card
What can I expect at my appointments?
Your first appointment will consist of an evaluation and may include some initial therapy. The initial appointment will
last about one to one and a half hours.
Your follow up appointments will consist of treatment routines designed for you by the therapist. Most appointments will
last 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Will the treatment hurt and how long until I feel better?
You may experience some soreness and discomfort during your treatment but long term most patients feel better. Exactly how
long until you feel better varies by injury and patient effort. The more effort you put into your therapy the more you
will get out of your therapy.
Can I setup all my appointments at once?
No. First we must do an evaluation and setup a treatment plan. Once that is done we can setup your other appointments.
What should I do if I’m running late or need to cancel my appointment?
Call us. We will make every effort to still see you or reschedule you if need be, but we may need to cancel your appointment
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment please give us as much notice as possible (24 hour minimum). Go to our
locations page and call us as soon as possible.
Is physical therapy covered by insurance?
It depends on your insurance. To be certain you should contact your insurance company or the benefits coordinator for your
company. Please let us know if you have received physical therapy at another location within the last year as this can
affect your coverage. Please know that the patient is ultimately responsible for all charges incurred and those not covered by insurance.
When are co-pays due?
Because physical therapy is not like a doctors appointment we will generally send you a bill for your co-pays. Coverage can
vary greatly by insurance. Please contact your insurance company to verify coverage and answers to co-pay questions. Please
let us know if you have received physical therapy at another location within the last year as this can affect coverage. Please note the
patient is ultimately responsible for all charges incurred and those not covered by insurance.
