Radiologic Technologist – Warren – Part Time

Under limited supervision, operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the human body to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of illness, injuries and the location of foreign bodies.


  1. Monitors EMR system for arrival and check-in of patient.
  2. Reviews patient’s EMR, checking future orders and patient’s office notes, orders x-rays according to the physician guidelines, assigns patient to an exam room in the EMR.
  3. Escorts patients from the reception area to x-ray room. Interviews patients regarding their medical condition and why they are in our office today, orders the appropriate x-rays in the patient’s EMR per physician guidelines. Tech to have patient remove any jewelry or clothing necessary to complete the exam as per physician guidelines.
  4. Adjusts x-ray equipment (including C-Arm), to correct setting for each examination; positions and instructs patients. Assists physician and clinic staff as needed.
  5. Arranges, attaches or adjusts immobilization and support devices such as sandbags, binders and angle boards to obtain the precise position, prevent patients from moving and lessen discomfort.
  6. Adjusts lead shield to protect unaffected parts of the body from exposure to x-ray. Completes x-rays, saves, and send to the exam room for the physician to review. Mark the order complete in the EMR.
  7. Escorts patient to their exam room, verifying that image has transferred to the exam room for the physician’s review.
  8. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the work area. Ensures examination rooms are properly stocked with appropriate supplies and equipment.
  9. Maintains infection control procedures to protect against cross contamination.
  10. Maintaining x-ray equipment, call service as needed.
  11. Performs various clerical duties including burning CD’s, importing MRI’s, tracking of arthroscopy scope pictures/disks and importing into the system, scanning films, returning films to other facilities and patients as needed.


Required Certifications, Registration or Licensure:

ARRT registered or registry eligible

Minimum Knowledge and Education:

2 years at accredited Radiology school

Minimum Work Experience:

1 year

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Orthopedic experience preferred
  • C-ARM experience
  • Computer skills necessary
